We are Podi and Judith and welcome you to our small Sri Lankan – German – French rooted Surf Camp “Chez Podi”.

“Chez Podi” [shé podi] is French and means “At Podi’s”. Podi is Sinhala and means small – a nickname that parents often refer to their second born child and for some stays life-long.

Podi is a real Mirissan from a fishermen’s family who grew up with passion for the sea and started surfing at the age of 15. After six years improving his language and cooking skills in France and its famous kitchens he returned back home.

Judith is a passionate and travel addicted German journalist. She fell in love with the beauty of Sri Lanka’s landscape, culture and people – and decided to stay in Mirissa.

Together we fulfill our dream and run our own small Surf Camp – aiming to offer our guests what we love ourselves: An exotic nature experience, laid back beach life, a sporting challenge, the variety of Sri Lankan food and an insight into it’s breathtaking culture.

Find your passion for surfing, learn about Sri Lankan food and culture, chill in a relaxed environment and enjoy the growing spirit of a little group. All from 300 Euros per package.

Our basic packages include

• Seven nights accommodation
• Ten beginner surf lessons (two per day; one rest day)
• Surf equipment, transport to different surf spots, explanations and exercises
• Seven breakfasts
• Last night’s dinner
• Wifi, towels & bedsheets, garden and terraces for common use
• Beds with fans, personal lights, plug and lockable shelve

Rooms and Prices

Our small Surfcamp has two rooms with bathrooms. Room 1 contains two Queen Size beds, room 2 is furnished with two Queen Size bunk beds.

So here’s your booking options:

Shared bed in shared bedroom    —   300 Euros per package

Single bed in shared bedroom     —    350 Euros per package

Bed in private bedroom   —   400 Euros per package

Are you an advanced surfer? Want to experience Chez Podi’s spirit, stay with us but skip the package (from 10 Euros per night)?
